Hey All, just got a Unifi LTE device for WAN Failover. Out of the Box everything seemingly connected right up and the device was listed in the devices tab in the controller. When attempting to adopt however, I would be greeted by a "Connection Failed" prompt.

Jun 11, 2013 · I've run into this issue and the best way to resolve it is to SSH into the AP and update firmware and then inform the controller software. 1. SSH into AP using Putty or similar. 2. Update firmware command: syswrapper.sh upgrade http:/ / IP_of_Conroller:8080/ dl/ firmware/ BZ2/ FIRMWARE_Version/ firmware.bin. When you factory reset, hold the button down for around 8-10 seconds. I have been seeing the exact same issue. I have worked around this for now with a macvlan network, which gives my Unifi controller an IP address on the local subnet. Not ideal, but I could at least re-adopt my access points. In my case, my Unifi Security Gateway is at 192.168.1.1, and serves IP addresses in the range 192.168.1.2-192.168.1.250.
